2024 was an amazing year of growth and achievement for us at the Women’s Technology Empowerment Centre.
We reached over 4,000 women and girls, bringing our total impact to 51,000 since inception, empowering them with essential skills for the digital age. We also trained and graduated more than 2,500 women in digital entrepreneurship, equipping them to succeed in today’s fast-changing world. Interestingly, 90% of our participants strongly agreed that they could confidently build their brand visibility.
Our statistics showed that 58% of our IT4All participants became confident in using a computer and identifying its parts without assistance.
Throughout the year, we held more than 10 tech training sessions across Nigeria and certified 50 new tech instructors, ready to pass on their knowledge. Our online presence grew remarkably, with a 40.5% increase in Instagram followers and a 61.7% growth in Facebook followership, expanding our reach and impact.
One of the proudest moments of 2024 was when a participant from our Lagos Academy Club won First Place at the African Edutech Conference—a true reflection of the talent within our community.
