About the DigiPreneur programme

DigiPreneur project aims to boost the capacity in field of Digital entrepreneurship among African and European countries. In Africa we target Nigeria, South Africa and
Kenya. Nigeria is the biggest African economy, while South Africa is on the 3rd place and Kenya on 6th position. These 3 countries were represented among 4 most progressive in this field. Reason for these 3 countries specifically is the technical/digital infrastructure and the potential to implement the project results and turn them into real business. And as the European partners were chosen Spain, Latvia, Greece and Portugal.

Program Details

 

DIGIPRENEUR projects covers several thematic actions:

    • • Work-based learning (for young people and/or adults);
      • Quality assurance mechanisms;
      • VET teachers/trainers professional development;
      • Key competences, including entrepreneurship;

NEEDS & OBJECTIVES:

In this context, partners identify a clear need of better support their Gen-Z VET learners in further use social media and specific e-commerce solutions in their education and employability, and at the same time boost the development of their key competences and entrepreneurship skills. To achieve this, participating organisation also feel the need to equip their VET professionals. The objectives of Gen-Z project and its partnership are to:
• identify role models to serve as good and ethical examples of social media entrepreneurial activity
• develop Digital entrepreneurship HUB for both VET learners and VET trainers, teachers and mentors which will:
    1. Transfer and upgrade and test a bespoke training curriculum on social media businesses;
    2. Develop a test a new bespoke training modules on e-commerce (for African countries with specific focus on African ecommerce solutions) and principles of outstanding digital enterprises
    3. Integrate Social media profiles/ Digital entrepreneurship roles as the examples from partner countries

    • develop a proposal for local networking and experience based learning initiative

  1. • will organise two 5-days trainings covering Social entrepreneurship, eCommerce and principles of outstanding digital enterprises
  2. • will organise local capacity building activities as learning/sharing events and eLearning experimentation
    • will organise 3 virtual marathons for Young digital entrepreneurs
    • will organise two 5-days EU-Africa Digital entrepreneurship experimental work based learning experiences
