MakeHer Space
The MakeHer Spaces project will teach selected girls to create technology and engineering-based solutions that solve problems in their communities, provide information about career options and exposes them to women working successfully in STEAM.
SHE CAN WITH ICT
SHE CAN with ICT (Sustaining Her Enterprise, Career, and Network) is a W.TEC initiative in collaboration with Aspire Coronation Trust (ACT) Foundation, to improve the productivity and profitability of women-owned businesses, by equipping them with in-depth practical digital technology skills and tools to catalyze their entrepreneurial growth in an increasingly technology-driven business environment.
WTEC ACADEMY
The W.TEC Academy is an afterschool technology club, which presents technology in an engaging way, with the aim of attracting more girls to pursue science and technology careers. The clubs target girls, aged 10 to 17 years, who attend public schools in Nigeria. Discourse and Research
Using questionnaires and focus group interviews, the project sought to find out if women’s lives are being impacted as a result of their use and engagement with radio; find out whether and/or how the women are applying the radio content into their daily lives; and find out whether and/or how Nigerian women are accessing and engaging with radio – particularly using other technologies like mobile phones and the Internet.
