W.TEC Celebrates Graduation of Over 5,000 Women at “She Can with ICT” Grand Showcase in Lagos

Lagos, Nigeria – May 7, 2025 – The Women’s Technology Empowerment Centre (W.TEC), in collaboration with ACT Foundation and Access Corporation, successfully hosted a vibrant and impactful She Can with ICT Graduation Showcase on Tuesday, May 6, 2025, in Ikeja, Lagos.

The flagship networking and showcase event marked the conclusion of the 2024–2025 training cycle, which empowered over 5,000 women entrepreneurs in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle from across Africa with vital digital and business skills. The programme—delivered virtually across five comprehensive cohorts—equipped participants with expertise in digital marketing, e-commerce, content creation, and business development, aimed at increasing visibility, scaling ventures, and boosting income.

Themed “Tech Meets Glamour,” the event was well-attended and widely praised for its energy, innovation, and celebration of women-led enterprise. Guests were treated to:

  • Exhibitions of participant-led products
  • An impact presentation of the She Can with ICT programme
  • A keynote address by Mrs. Judith Nwachukwu, Chairman of NASME Delta State
  • A stunning fashion runway fusing technology and creativity
  • A Q&A session with mentors and guests of honour
  • Testimonials, networking sessions, and the much-anticipated grant presentations

Five exceptional participants were awarded seed grants, recognizing their innovation, business potential, and commitment to growth. These grants will support the expansion of their ventures and solidify the long-term impact of the programme.
