W.TEC Academy Resumes for Third Term 2026 with New Data Analysis Curriculum in Kwara
W.TEC Academy has officially resumed for the third term of 2026, continuing its mission of equipping girls with practical digital, STEM, and future-ready skills across partner schools.
This term marks an exciting milestone for the Kwara Academy programme with the introduction of a new Data Analysis curriculum designed to align with the evolving educational priorities within the state.
According to Lesley Tarabina, W.TEC’s Curriculum Development Coordinator, the inclusion of Data Analysis supports alignment with the Kwara State Ministry of Education’s updated curriculum direction and reflects W.TEC’s commitment to ensuring students gain relevant digital and analytical skills needed for the future.
The new curriculum will introduce students to foundational concepts in data handling, interpretation, and digital analysis, helping them build stronger critical thinking and problem-solving abilities while increasing their confidence in technology-related subjects.
For the third term of 2026, the Kwara W.TEC Academy programme has recorded:
- 239 registered students
- 15 instructor volunteers
- Participation from 10 secondary schools
- 6 schools in Ilorin
- 4 schools in Offa
The continued growth of the programme reflects increasing interest in STEM and digital learning opportunities among students and schools within the state.
W.TEC remains committed to creating engaging learning environments where girls can explore technology, develop leadership skills, and gain the confidence to pursue opportunities in STEM and beyond.
As the term progresses, students can look forward to hands-on learning experiences, mentorship, collaborative projects, and exposure to skills that prepare them for a rapidly evolving digital future.
