Part of our activities to mark the 2019 international “Girls in ICT Day” was talk session held for school pupils at Kiddies Kingdom Private School ( KKPS) in Mafoluku – Lagos.
Events already held was tech forum held for ladies at the UN Information Centre in Lagos (UNIC – Lagos) held by the UNIC – Lagos and UN Women – Nigeria in conjunction with W.TEC was a huge success.
Our Programmes Manager, Mrs Folashade Braimoh hosted pupils at Kiddies Kingdom Private School for their first ”Girls In ICT Day” event.
The event, a talk session was based on “computational thinking” to familiarize the girls with the act of problem-solving that involves expressing problems and their solutions in ways that a computer could execute.
During the program the girls were treated to games which illustrates how computer codes are composed and function, functioning of algorithms and others. Thus the girls were engaged numerous exercises which sparked the imagination of the girls on ICT processes as they asked a ton of questions.
