W.TEC Academy – Ilorin   (January – June, October – December)
Our after school computer club for girls programme continues at Ilorin for the 2nd term of the 2018 – 2019 session. There are plans to expand the programme in the state and we shall keep you posted on that.
 
Safer Internet Day  (Tuesday February 5th)
We intend to make our 2019 Safer Internet Day (SID) programme an impactful one with a workshop and an online campaign to teach our youth the 4RS (Responsibility, Resilience, Reasoning and Respect) to making the internet safer and better for everyone. 
 
Social Media Week  (Thursday February 7th)
For the 7th straight year we are holding one of the most anticipated events at the Social Media Lagos programme. Tagged ‘Story telling for Amplifying Social Impact” our event will teach non profits, civil society actors, activists and others how to use storytelling techniques to tell compelling and powerful stories about their work, in order to connect with new partners and engage more meaningfully with existing stakeholders. We will also explore relevant technology that helps to build and strengthen online communities of current and potential donors and supporters.
MentorHER  (April – December)
Our mentorship programme for girls and female STEM undergraduates has become a permanent feature of W.TEC to support our mentees with technical skills and first-hand knowledge from experienced women in STEM careers. In order to deliver them to the Nigeria tech space safely. 2019 programme will e organised at Lagos and Kwara states
 
STEMHer Stories (April – December)
Our STEMHer Stories is a new research project work targeted at 9 Nigerian Universities and Polytechnics across 4 states; Lagos, Oyo, Osun and Kwara.
 
SHE CAN WITH ICT (April – December)
Our entrepreneurship and technological workshops for women  is making a return in 2019 with plans to hold the programme in Kwara State.
 
She Creates Camp (July – August)
Our award winning technological camp for girls will be the biggest this year with 3 separate camps planned across 3 states of the Federation. This ultimate tech-fun learning experience is poised to inspire more girls to using technology for all their daily activities.
