We were honored to welcome the nominees for the ASHOKA Young Changemakers 2024 programme to our office on Monday May 27th 2024. These young leaders were on a group visiting tour of ASHOKA Fellows at their establishments. This initiative, organized by ASHOKA, aims to foster intergenerational connections, enabling the nominees to gain valuable insights and inspiration for building sustainable ventures.

During their visit, our Executive Director, Oreoluwa Lesi, shared insights about the establishment, impact, and sustainability of W.TEC. She, along with Programme Leads at W.TEC, engaged with the nominees in a Q&A session, offering valuable advice on growing and sustaining their initiatives for greater impact.

The ASHOKA Young Changemakers nominees, aged 17-20, hail from across Nigeria. they are involved in remarkable community empowerment programmes and thus they are eager to scale up their efforts through the Young Changemakers 2024 programme.

We extend our special thanks to Paula Ugwu, the Youth Years Lead for Anglophone West Africa, for leading this inspiring group to W.TEC.

The ASHOKA Young Changemakers is a selective network of young individuals aged 12-20 who have harnessed their potential to create positive change and are prepared to step into their roles as co-leaders of the global “Everyone a Changemaker” movement.
