In 2024, the Women’s Technology Empowerment Centre (W.TEC) achieved remarkable milestones in advancing gender equality through technology education. Our initiatives have empowered thousands of women and girls across Nigeria, fostering skills, confidence, and opportunities in the tech industry.
Key Achievements:
- She Creates Camp: Since 2008, this pioneering programme has provided young girls with hands-on STEM education, inspiring many to pursue careers in technology. WTEC Online
- She Can With ICT: In collaboration with ACT Foundation, this initiative has equipped women entrepreneurs with digital skills to enhance their businesses, with over 1,800 women starting or growing their enterprises following the training. WTEC Online
- W.TEC Academy: Offering after-school computer programmes, the academy has reached numerous girls in secondary schools, enhancing their digital literacy and fostering interest in technology careers.WTEC Online+1WTEC Online+1
Impact by the Numbers:
- Over 35,000 women and girls have participated in W.TEC programmes.WTEC Online
