We are thrilled to share with you the details of our recent IWD event, held in collaboration with Lafarge Africa Plc. Our aim was to create an inclusive environment, and we were delighted to have IT4ALL participants, all of whom are individuals with intellectual disability.
During the event, we had an engaging talk session where we highlighted how W.TEC has been fostering tech inclusiveness by training individuals with intellectual disability through our IT4ALL programme.
The Children’s Developmental Center (CDC) also sensitized us on the various types of intellectual disabilities, communication patterns, and other efforts to ensure inclusion.
Additionally, the Lafarge team were given a tour of the CDC facility, which was a great opportunity for everyone to learn and connect.
We are proud of the strides we have made towards inclusiveness, and we look forward to a brighter, more inclusive future.
