More About W.TEC’s DGY Programme

For the last year and a half, W.TEC has been working as part of the Digital Generation Youth project. This is a 2-year project aimed at developing new content, methods and activities to improve the quality of youth non-formal learning programmes. A key aspect of this project is the use of badges to signify learning achievements. These are similar to the badges one earns from playing video games or during an online learning course. W.TEC has developed a system of badges for our MakeHer Space project for the pilot phase in 2020 (https://lagos.cityoflearning.eu/en/activities/9773) and for Phase 1 in 2021 (https://lagos.cityoflearning.eu/en/activities/11664). So far, 167 badges have been issues to project participants and 18 badges have been issued to facilitators. We are looking forward to working with more girls earning badges through our programmes. Please watch this space for more on our DGY programme.
