The She Creates Camp has been instrumental in shaping the future of young girls in STEM, and our recent alumnae evaluation survey highlights its incredible impact. Conducted for participants from 2008 to 2025, the survey gathered responses from 79 alumnae, with a strong representation from 2014, 2018, 2019, 2022, and 2023 cohorts.
The findings show that an impressive 96.2% of alumnae have applied the tools and skills acquired at the camp in various ways. This validates the camp’s effectiveness in equipping young girls with practical knowledge. Furthermore, 36.7% of respondents are currently pursuing STEM courses, and a remarkable 78.4% expressed their intention to do so in the future. This demonstrates the camp’s success in sparking interest in science and technology careers.
Another significant impact is in economic empowerment—62% of alumnae reported generating income through the use of technology skills gained from the camp. This underscores the relevance of digital and entrepreneurial training in helping young women achieve financial independence. Additionally, 69.6% of respondents agreed that the camp played a key role in motivating them to pursue careers in Science and Technology.
These results reaffirm the She Creates Camp as a transformative initiative in empowering young girls through STEM education and digital skills. By fostering both academic and economic growth, the camp continues to inspire and equip young women with the tools they need for success. As we look ahead, W.TEC remains committed to expanding this impact, ensuring more girls have access to STEM education, career mentorship, and economic opportunities.
