The Women’s Technology Empowerment Centre (W.TEC) is excited to announce the appointment of her Executive Director, Mrs. Oreoluwa Lesi to the Advisory Board of BudgIT,a civil organisation that uses technology to simplify the budget, and matters of public spending for citizens with the primary aim, of raising standards of transparency and accountability in government.
Mrs. Lesi who is a seasoned social entrepreneur and an expert in Information Systems, joins six other professionals who willbe providing strategic advice to BudgIT on how to deepen impact and ensure sustainability in the civic technology space where it plays.
Our Executive Director is a member of numerous boards of reputable organizations both home and abroad. She joins the board with her years of entrepreneurial experience in the Nigerian technology and social sectors.
The appointment of our Executive Director indicates the continued drive of BudgIT to consolidate their use of technology in facilitating transparency in government, as well as an indication of their commitment to championing gender equality across all spheres of civic engagement.
