Empowering Tomorrow’s Leaders: Inside the WTEC Digital Skills Programme
At the Women’s Technology Empowerment Centre (W.TEC), we believe in the power of technology to transform lives. Thanks to our funding partnership with ICCEF, we recently concluded the WTEC Digital Skills Empowerment Programme, which ran from March to June 2026. This initiative successfully trained 100 young Nigerians—including 80 women—equipping them with the practical skills needed to thrive in today’s technology-driven economy.
To maximize accessibility, we adopted a flexible virtual model combining live instruction with recorded sessions. Participants dove deeply into crucial competency areas, including Artificial Intelligence, digital marketing, data entry, and workplace productivity tools. The training was heavily project-based, challenging learners with practical exercises, group collaborations, and a comprehensive capstone project.
The outcomes have been truly inspiring. Graduates shared incredible success stories, highlighting their new-found confidence in leveraging Agentic AI for business, creating digital graphics, and executing effective social media marketing campaigns. The journey culminated in a joyful virtual graduation ceremony, where participants presented their innovative group projects and received their well-earned certificates.
We are immensely proud of our graduates and deeply grateful to ICCEF for helping us build a more digitally inclusive and empowered workforce.
