The Women’s Technology Empowerment Centre (W.TEC) is thrilled to announce the official return of W.TEC Academy for the final term of the 2026 school year.
With technology continuing to reshape global opportunities, our mission to bridge the gender digital divide across Nigeria remains stronger than ever. Through W.TEC Academy—our signature technology co-curricular programme—we are equipping young schoolgirls with hands-on, practical digital skills that prepare them to become innovators, creators, and problem-solvers in an increasingly digital world.
Impacting Students Across Lagos, Kwara, and Ondo States
Proudly supported by Oracle, this term’s programme is currently underway in secondary schools across Lagos, Kwara, and Ondo states.
Through this continued partnership, participating students are gaining access to high-impact curricula covering essential tech skills, including:
- Data Analysis & Management: Teaching students how to gather, process, and interpret data to make informed decisions.
- Coding & Software Development: Building foundational skills in programming and logical thinking.
- Digital Literacy & Safety: Empowering girls to navigate the digital world safely, ethically, and confidently.
- STEM & Creative Technology: Fostering creative problem-solving through technology-driven projects.
In classrooms across all three states, these young minds are collaborating, building projects, and transforming from technology consumers into active tech creators.
