Strengthening Partnerships for Greater Impact – W.TEC Visits the News Agency of Nigeria

At the Women’s Technology Empowerment Centre (W.TEC), we understand that meaningful impact is amplified through strong partnerships and shared vision. It was therefore a great pleasure for our team to pay an advocacy visit to the News Agency of Nigeria.

We were warmly received by the Station Head, Ifeyinwa Omowole, whose openness and enthusiasm set the tone for a truly engaging and insightful meeting. We also extend our sincere appreciation to her their team for serving as a dedicated liaison and for facilitating this important connection.

Our discussions were rich and forward-looking, centered on how both organizations can collaborate to deepen impact across Nigeria. We explored opportunities around storytelling, media visibility, and the amplification of voices—especially those of women and girls who are breaking barriers through technology and innovation.

The meeting highlighted the shared commitment between W.TEC and NAN to driving national development through information, education, and empowerment. With NAN’s extensive reach and expertise, and W.TEC’s focus on equipping women and girls with digital and life skills, the possibilities for collaboration are both exciting and far-reaching.

We are particularly inspired by the potential to work together in documenting impact stories, expanding access to information, and supporting initiatives that empower women and girls across diverse communities. Conversations also touched on future opportunities for knowledge exchange, capacity building, and leveraging media as a tool for social change.

This visit marks the beginning of what we believe will be a strong and impactful partnership. We are excited about the journey ahead and look forward to working closely with the News Agency of Nigeria to create meaningful, lasting change.

We thank Ifeyinwa Omowole and the entire NAN team for the warm reception and the robust, inspiring conversation. Together, we look forward to driving greater impact and empowering even more women and girls across Nigeria.
